Washington Middle School Media Center

Hours: 7:45-3:35 M-F during school year

Students and staff may use the media center for reading, AR testing, and research on an as needed basis. Browsing is encouraged. Alexandria Researcher is available for searching. If the material desired is not available, we will try to find it through other libraries.

English classes schedule library times for student convenience. Up to three books may be checked out at a time and renewals are possible. Fifth grade library skills are taught on a daily basis.

Accelerated Reader quizzes may be taken whenever the media center is open. Students will use Renaissance Place to take online quizzes. Most books in the library are available for quizzes.

Peer tutoring takes place in the media center before school and during homeroom Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
